PROJECT OVERVIEW

A collaborative project spotlighting college party culture while addressing its inherent dangers, such as frat culture, unsafe neighborhoods, and rape culture. My partner and I wanted to raise awareness about safety services, like safe walking programs provided by the school that help people get home safely. To deliver the message effectively, it was installed in a popular frat house on campus during Halloween Weekend.

01: Graphic Language

The graphic language focused on minimalism with bold colors and patterns to quickly capture students' attention. Using striking elements like red, bold type, and recognizable icons such as ghosts (fitting around Halloween time) helped ensure visibility. Patterns of faces and ghosts were chosen for their trendy appeal, making them effective in resonating with the youth and suitable for graphic tees.

02: Installation

Given our target audience of undergraduate students, we chose to install the project inside a popular frat house at Boston University. This setting was ideal for delivering our message, as it directly aligns with the party environment of our audience.
